PASSOVER

The Biblical Festival of Passover or Pesach remembers the Israelites time enslaved in Egypt. It refers to the significance of God “passing over” those who wiped the blood of a lamb on their doorposts for protection from death. It is traditionally celebrated with a dinner called a Seder. Why is Passover important? What does it have to do with today?

FIRST FRUITS

The Biblical Festival of First Fruits or Yom Bikkurim comes from the agricultural cycle of the people of Israel. It refers to their offerings of their first fruits of the harvest. It is traditionally celebrated with a daylong celebration of praise and eating. What is the significance of this holiday? What does it have to do with today?

UNLEAVENED BREAD

The Biblical Festival of Unleavened Bread or Chag Ha’Matzot began as the Israelites fled Egypt into the wilderness. It refers their rapid flight, which did not leave time for their bread dough to rise. It is traditionally celebrated with a weeklong celebration where no leavened products are eaten. What is the significance of this holiday?

PENTECOST

PREPARING FOR THE FEASTS

The Biblical Fall Holidays, also called the Appointed Times, or Fall Feasts, remind Christians of Jesus’ second coming. The focus of the fall season is atonement and repentance. As Christians, we can celebrate these appointed times, because the Biblical Feasts are not only for the Jews. Hear more from Pastor David in today’s video.

THE DAY OF ATONEMENT

Yom Kippur or the Day of Atonement is focused on atonement and repentance, and it’s observed with prayer and fasting. It’s a day of intercession in which the High Priest makes atonement for the people of Israel. Pastor David speaks to how and why we can celebrate the Day of Atonement as Christians.

TRUMPETS

The holiday of Trumpets marks the season of the new year in the Jewish Calendar, or Rosh Hashanah. The Day of Trumpets is a day of “shouting”. In this video, Pastor David Snyder speaks to the historical, messianic, prophetic and practical formation we can learn from the Feast of Trumpets as we anticipate the return of our King, Jesus.

TABERNACLES

The festival called Sukkot celebrates the wandering Israelites, and we remember that this world is not our home, and we will someday dwell with Jesus in eternity. Pastor David Snyder speaks in today’s video about the Feast of Tabernacles and how we can celebrate it as Christians.
